• Take care of and be familiar with own belongings.
• Open and close lunch box, school bag and pencil case.
• Recognise their own name on their school books.
• Fasten own coat.
• Take off and put on shoes.
• Take turns.
• Use the toilet unattended.

IPPA Evaluation:
I feel that this DVD, 'Going to School' would be an essential resource to have for a young child starting off in primary school as it is a visual interpretation of what this new experience would be like for them. Many children may feel anxious or nervous about starting primary school so this DVD may help them and their families in showing them pictures and telling them useful information about what this experience may be like. The Parent information sections are handy as they explain to parents about the DVD and the overall role of the parents in helping their child to prepare for the primary school experience.
Overall, I feel that this DVD would be of benefit for the child and the family of children starting primary school.
